Kings beat Warriors, 76ers defeat Nets to take 2-0 series leads

The Sacramento Kings defeated the Golden State Warriors 114-106 to take a 2-0 lead over the NBA champions in their best-of-seven Western Conference playoff series on Monday. De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis led the Kings to victory with each scoring 24 points, in a heated game that saw the Warriors’ Draymond Green ejected after an altercation with Sabonis in the fourth quarter. Steph Curry led the Warriors scoring with 28 points while Andrew Wiggins finished with 22 and Klay Thompson 21. The series heads to San Francisco for Game 3 on Thursday.

At Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, Tyrese Maxey scored 33 points for the Philadelphia 76ers as they defeated the Brooklyn Nets 96-84 to take a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference series. Cameron Johnson led Brooklyn scoring with 28 points, while Mikal Bridges finished with 21 and Spencer Dinwiddie 12. The Sixers outscored Brooklyn 24-14 in the third before wrapping up victory in the fourth. Game 3 in the series takes place in Brooklyn on Thursday.
