Cody Johnson has shared the video for his hit single “The Painter”, the debut single off Cody’s 12-track studio album Leather released last November.
Leather was Johnson’s follow-up album to 2019’s Ain’t Nothin’ To It studio album, and 2021’s Human The Double Album. Johnson released two additional projects — A Cody Johnson Christmas album and Cody Johnson & The Rockin’ CJB Live, as well as an award-winning feature-length documentary Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story.
The video for ‘The Painter’ was directed by Dustin Haney, and filmed on Cody’s ranch in Texas just before the holidays. The video depicts early scenes of Cody’s relationship with his wife Brandi, and she makes a cameo at the end of the video as well.
