Slash has revealed that Guns N’ Roses are planning to make a new record, which would mark the band’s first since 2008’s Chinese Democracy.

While being interviewed regarding his new solo album Orgy Of The Damned, Slash was asked why none of his Guns N’ Roses bandmates or any of his other previous collaborators, including Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, appear on the record. The 58-year-old guitarist shared that GNR are “trying” to make a new album, saying in part: “It was my own side thing, so I wasn’t dragging my own guys in. Guns N’ Roses are trying to make their own record and I’m working with them in that capacity but this didn’t involve anyone else.”

Since Slash’s return to GNR, the band have released new music including the singles ‘Absurd’, ‘Hard Skool’ and ‘The General’, which are reimagined tracks from the Chinese Democracy era. Slash’s Orgy Of The Damned consists of blues classics and featuring guest vocalists including Iggy Pop, Demi Lovato, Chris Stapleton, Steve Tyler and more.
